B-Salicornia is a food supplement made from European salicornia extract and B vitamins, such as B9 (folic acid), formulated to promote the normal metabolism of homocysteine.
Salicornia is a halophyte plant that grows in marshes, and its way of defending itself from these adverse stress conditions (saltwater salinity, UV rays, etc.) is by producing large amounts of polyphenols. These bioactive compounds provide numerous health benefits, helping to prevent various diseases and promoting overall well-being.
Why take B-Salicornia?
- Rich in polyphenols with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
- Helps regulate homocysteine, a key factor in cardiovascular and cognitive health.
- Prevents vascular diseases such as stroke, heart attack, atherosclerosis, diabetes, atrial fibrillation, and chronic kidney failure.
- Contributes to brain health, related to dementia prevention.
- Natural formula based on salicornia extract and B vitamins.
- Protects against oxidative stress and cellular aging.
Elevated homocysteine metabolism is linked to various pathologies, including cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases.
With B-Salicornia, you can incorporate the benefits of salicornia and its healthy properties in a practical and effective way. Take care of your well-being with a natural supplement designed for your cardiovascular and cognitive health.

Studies
Studies
An extensive analysis of 883,627 patients has recently shown that folic acid administration is useful in the prevention of stroke [An P et al. J Am Coll Cardiol].
Salicornia extract is acknowledged to be rich in polyphenols [Kim S et al. Molecules] [Nájar AM et al. Nutrients] including phenolic acids, including caffeic, coumaric, veratric, salicylic, transcinnamic, chlorogenic, ferulic and tungtungmaic acids.
It is rich in flavonoids such as kaempferol/luteolin, quercetin-3-O-rutoside-apigenin, 7-glucoside and pelargonidin-3-O-rutoside. Its fatty acid profile contains palmitic, oleic and linoleic acids in high concentrations.
In research carried out in Spanish hospitals, with which we have collaborated, it was shown that in healthy adults, consumption of salicornia extract for 3 months is associated with very significant reductions in blood homocysteine, tendencies towards normalisation of lipids and could also have a diuretic effect.
Several clinical studies are currently underway to evaluate the vascular protection of salicornia extract in different Spanish hospitals and primary care health centres. In animals predisposed to hypertension, high intake of common salt significantly increased systolic, diastolic and mean blood pressure, but Salicornia extract intake was associated with significantly lower mean blood pressure and did not induce vascular dysfunction [Panth N et al. Int J Mol Sci].
Furthermore, the antioxidant activity of European Salicornia has been associated with obesity control through its anti-adipogenic properties, producing weight reduction in rats in the high-fat diet-induced obesity control group [Rahman MM et al. Pharm Biol].
